Donahoe, who now wrestles for powerhouse Edinboro in northwestern Pennsylvania, breezed to the title with a 17-7 win the semifinals and a technical fall 24-9 in the final. He finished the conference season at 31-0 and was ranked as the top 125-pounder in the nation.
Donahoe will wrestle for the national title at the NCAA tournament in St. Louis March 19-21. In 2007, while at Nebraska, he won the 125-pound national title. By all accounts, he has fit in well at Edinboro and I am rooting for him to take another title.Labels: paul donahoe

all of you are morons, how sure are you he had his second chance- he's not yet reinstated by the NCAA. They still have to decide if Nash won't turn wrestling into a gay circus

"Hey everyone. I just wanted to tell everyone that I was just fired from my work at subway because I have done gay porn. A customer said they wouldn't even eat there at subway anymore because of my past work and said that if I wasn't fired then they would boycott the store. What I say is, if one person can try to ruin me everywhere I work... maybe I should take a stand and boycott their store too if they can't let people's privacy be treated right. I should have the right to work anywhere I can and it isn't right or fair that people can keep me from working simply because of a "gay" issue. If a girl did what we do it would probably be ok.. and if a guy does straight porn.. he is bragged about. When I do gay porn, I feel a bit lynched for the rest of my life. Not right. Thanks for reading.

Asked if he was concerned scrutiny will follow him to Edinboro, Donahoe's eyes filled with tears.
"I'm just really thankful they have given me this opportunity to come here and finish my career," said Donahoe, who was 86-18 in three seasons at Nebraska. "So far everyone I've met has been great."
"If you guys have any questions of why Paul and Kenny did this and if they are homo sexueals than I reccomend you ask them face to face instead of hideing behind a screen name and acting like there scared to talk to whoever you are. They are part of a d1 wrestling family in Lincoln Nebraska and the husker wrestling family is shocked but will still support them becuase there teammates/ brothers. This put shame on those two but the husker wrestlers wont forget the leadership they showed and the good times they had with eachother ( no pun intended). Mark Manning is a great guy and if you got to know him like I do youd see why his teams place higher than Mark Johnsons" posted by "Greenlatern"
"I am not offended or put off by their actions. I do not believe their actions were immoral. They have every legal right to do what they did and I support that. I am glad to see we didn't have an overly homophobic reaction here. I wish them luck and hope they get back into wrestling or such other endeavors to which they aspire." posted by "Radical"

Davison, Mich., native Paul Donahoe won his 125-pound weight class at last weekend's Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. The sophomore is currently ranked 11th by NWCA/USA Today and will face wrestlers from South Dakota State University and Northern Colorado at the NU Coliseum this weekend when the Cornhuskers host their first home dual meets of the year.
What meal will you eat after your last match of the season?
After the last match? Probably a big steak dinner.
Who is better: Dan Gable or Cael Sanderson?
Well, they're both good wrestlers, but Cael would be better. He has won everything, but you have to remember Kyle Smith is up there, too.
What animal does (NU) Coach (Mark) Manning most resemble when he's yelling at the team?
(Laughs) He's kind of like a little koala bear.
What's the last good movie you've seen?
Last good movie I saw was "Rocky IV."
What's your favorite wrestling movie?
I don't have a favorite wrestling movie. I don't really like them.
Do you think Michigan will ever give back the half of the 1997 national championship that they owe Nebraska?
Whoa, uh, I don't know. Too bad they didn't play in a game.
Which is better: the Big 12 Conference or the Big Ten Conference?
Well, the Big 12 produces more All-Americans, so I would say the Big 12.
